Internet Activities - Specialized Bookmarks

1)    Send your specialized bookmarks page as an attachment to an e-mail message to Lisa Toulon at

2)     The specialized page attachment should be written in Word and contain:

a)      A meaningful title, directions to the students, links, and descriptions of what students should examine or obtain at the site.

b)     Annotated Sites following the format presented on page 13 of the packet.

 

3)     In the e-mail message indicate:

a)     Grade, subject area, and what topic students will be exploring.

b)     How you envision that students will use the links you have provided. 

c)     Tell where in the unit these bookmarks would best be used.  Why?

d)     How will the use of the content in the linked web sites further your students understanding of the topics?

e)     List the Illinois Learning Standards  that will be accomplished.

f)      List the NET standards and performance indicators met through your students’ use of the bookmarks.

NOTE:  Before you start this project, thoroughly read pages 12-25 and 282-286 to gain a sense of the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) standards and performance indicators for your grade level in the book National Educational Technology Standards for Students: Connecting Curriculum and Technology (2000).
